It all Starts With an Idea. My First Blog Post!

Sometimes things can be scary. Like writing a blog, starting a business, and even figuring out how to create content. But guess what? Crafters are CREATIVE! We have a brain full of amazing ideas and all we need is an outlet. I decided to start this blog to have a place for all my thoughts, crafty plans and over the top ideas. It’s also a great way to keep myself accountable..since I do have a little problem with consistency. Life gets in the way, imposter syndrome sets in and sometimes just the thought of creating anything can be overwhelming! But I’ve realized lately that life moves on, whether we are ready or not. So take that leap, post that content, complete that goal and shoot your shot! Whatever you have been waiting for, just start! We can do this together, we just need an idea 💡

Here’s what you can expect from me:

  • Crafty Content

  • Visual Aides

  • Monthly Projects

  • Chats about all things small business, trends, and social media

Before you go- be sure to sign up below for my monthly newsletter. That way you will know about all the plans ahead of time!

I have a picture below so you can see what we are going to get into this month…and just as a reminder, I will still post on my socials as life happens and inspiration strikes, but I will have scheduled content here just for you!

Shamrock Paper Banner-

This adorably easy paper banner is perfect for small spaces and even better for your wallet as it only took 5 sheets of cardstock!

Products used:

  • 12x12 cardstock in your choice of colors ( you will need 3 sheets in your favorite colors and 2 sheets of foil cardstock)

  • I used Bazzill brand from Jo-Anns in the following colors:

    • Greenbriar (embossed dots) x 1 sheet

    • Aqua textured x 1 sheet

    • Pear textured x 1 sheet

    • Gold metallic foil cardstock from The Craft Print shop x 2 sheets. You can purchase here- www.thecraftprintshop.com

  • My favorite craft glue- Bearly Arts

  • Ribbed white ribbon

  • Foam squares for a 3D effect. Remember you can pick these up at the Dollar Tree or check out Fanciful Chaos for a huge selection.

  • Design Found in Design Space free with Cricut Access

Last Minute Seasonal Kids T-Shirt

Mamas..I got you! We are busy…and the school is always needing something ( right??) Let’s take 40 mins and make a quick seasonal t-shirt so they don’t get pinched on the 17th.

I picked up this plain green tee from Michaels and white glitter HTV. My favorite brand is Siser, but for this one and done shirt, anything would work!

I used my heatpress, but you can do this with a household iron of you arent there yet on the craft machines.

Packaging Cards with NO Ink

Yep that right, you can create custom packaging cards ( in this case instructional cards) with a thermal printer. Best part is there is no ink is needed. Downside is its only good for black writing, but that works perfect for me! I made these inserts for my customers that like to purchase iron on decal and vinyl decals to use on their own blanks. These were quick, cheap and so easy to make using Canva!
