Spring is Here

Spring is here folks! The pollen is out, the temps are rising and graduation season is upon us…so that means grad crafts, spring cleaning , and most importantly, my baby turns 10!

This month got off to a rocky start with my blog getting deleted yesterday ( hence why I’m a day late), but we are back on track and excited for what this month brings. The month of March was a whirlwind as I participated in a 31 day challenge courtesy of @thecraftprint. The challenge required daily posts, content scheduling and above all ACCOUNTABILITY! I am happy to report that I did stick to it, even though we went on Spring Break vacation! With that being said, I will NOT be posting daily this month, I need a break! I will maintain consistency, so no worries there. If you’ve made it this far, thanks for sticking around 🎀

I have a picture below so you can see what we are going to get into this month…and just as a reminder, I will still post on my socials as life happens and inspiration strikes, but I will have scheduled content here just for you!

Graduation Cake Topper-

This whimsical graduation cake topper is perfect for kiddos in Pre-K and Kindergarten and a great way to use up those scraps due to the tiny letters and array of colors.

Products used:

  • 65lb cardstock in your choice of colors ( you will need multiple sheets in your favorite colors and 1 sheet of holographic foil cardstock)

  • My favorite craft glue- Bearly Arts

  • Foam squares for a 3D effect. Remember you can pick these up at the Dollar Tree or check out Fanciful Chaos for a huge selection.

  • Design Found in Design Space free with Cricut Access and I remixed it to my liking

Graduation Cap Topper-

This graduation cap topper is perfect for any grads you know! This design is from a paid membership ( Design Academy) from @ForeverPetalsbyVee

You can check out her page on FB where she offers TONS of tutorials and her website here. The great thing about these toppers is most graduation caps are the same size, so you can make multiples and they will most likely fit universally. This particular color scheme was requested by a grad who loves the Lakers, which you can definately see with the purple and yellow color scheme. I think those colors also scream spring!

Products used:

  • 65lb cardstock in your choice of colors

    • Solid color recommended. White core will give the white edge on your flowers

    • Glitter cardstock from The Craft Print shop. You can purchase here- www.thecraftprintshop.com

    • Rhinestones I found in my craft drawer

  • My favorite craft glue- Bearly Arts

  • Foam squares for a 3D effect. Remember you can pick these up at the Dollar Tree or check out Fanciful Chaos for a huge selection.

Custom Bow Birthday Invitation

Would you believe my 9 you created these all by herself in Canva? YES! She frequently spends time with me when I’m in the craft room and she wanted to try her hand at designing. I did not help her at all and she did an amazing job! Bows are apparently the “in thing” currently so that’s where her inspo came from. We are having a “bow-ling” party this month and I will be in charge of the rest of the themed decorations.

I printed these out on high gloss photo paper and added a background and of course a bow.

Organizing Paper Scraps

Ahhhh spring cleaning…I love this time of year because I desperately need a reason to declutter my junk! I have a bad habit of holding onto scraps because I hate wasting ( hence the junk) and I feel like I can totally use it for another project. I found these clear plastic containers on Amazon and used a heart shaped paper punch to add the paper colors to the outside. They fit perfectly on my IKEA kallax shelving system and are right near me when I need paper for a small project.
